Terms and Conditions

All orders are subject to acceptance and standard authorisation procedures including fraud prevention measures.

In order to prevent fraud Arf Kids [hereafter 'we'] may share order details with relevant authorities, address verification services and fraud prevention services. We may report fraudulent transactions to third parties.

While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that descriptions and photographs on this web site are accurate or up-to-date. Changes may have been made to product specifications and appearance by our suppliers.

Any stock details on the web site are subject to correction and may be out of date.

Where products are not available from stock, we will endeavour to inform the customer [hereafter 'you'] in a timely way of the expected delay before we can fulfil your order. If you are unhappy with the estimated delay you can request that the order is cancelled and we will issue a refund.

While we will use our best efforts to ensure timely despatch of orders, all timescales given are estimates only, and we cannot accept orders where time is of the essence.

For orders outside the UK, we disclaim all responsibility for delays, impoundings and any liability whether financial or otherwise arising from the passage of your order through customs. You are solely responsible for meeting any charges taxes and demands from customs or other relevant authorities in relation to your order.

No prior notice will be provided for price changes, and these become immediately effective upon publication. In the event of pricing errors, we reserve the right to refuse to honour the incorrect prices, and if we choose to do this we will refund any payments made at the incorrect price.

Our terms and conditions include our Shipping and Returns Policy, our Payment Security and Ordering Policy and our Privacy Policy.

No waiver or modification of these policies or conditions may be granted by any employee of Arf Kids unless in writing and authorised by a director.

Shipping and Returns Policy

We currently only dispatch to the United Kingdom, USA and Canada. We may be able to dispatch to other countries by prior agreement.

Orders will be dispatched by Royal Mail or an alternative carrier. The services provided by our carrier are outside our control. While we cannot guarantee delivery dates or times, UK delivery is normally no more than 3-4 working days after despatch. Delivery to other countries may vary.

In the event of a delayed delivery, we regret we are unable to offer compensation. Should you not receive your goods within 28 days, a refund or replacement will be offered unless the goods are being held up at customs.

We package our products carefully - in the unlikely event that they are damaged in transit or faulty, you can notify us via telephone or email. You must then return the goods unused and in their original condition within the next 5 working days.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may cancel your order within 7 days of receipt of the goods and request a full refund or replacement. However, as per standard industry practice, we cannot accept returns of customised items or special orders (that is, items that are marked as being ones we never hold in stock and have to place special orders for).

You must notify us within 7 days of receiving your goods via telephone or email if you wish to make a return. You must then return the goods unused and in their original condition within the next 5 working days.

It is your responsibility to insure the goods with the carrier you use to return them as we are unable to process a refund until we receive the returned goods, and we cannot accept any liability for goods we do not receive.

We will either replace or process a refund upon receipt of the goods within 7 working days, according to your requirements. We regret we cannot control how long it takes your card issuer to credit your account.

If the goods you received were damaged in any way or are of unsatisfactory quality, we will also compensate you for the cost of return postage.

If the package or goods are damaged, please report this to our carrier upon delivery or as soon as possible thereafter.

Payment Security and Ordering Policy

Our web site uses industry standard SSL (secure sockets layer) technology to provide secure payment transactions. This facility is provided by PayPal, a leader in the provision of encrypted and safe transfer of credit, debit or charge card details.

None of our customers has ever reported fraudulent use of their card through shopping with us. If you are concerned, you can telephone us with your details to place an order.

When you choose to buy an item, you will be shown your shopping cart and once you have confirmed the contents you will be asked to provide your details and the shipping details (if different).

After you have confirmed you wish to checkout, you will go to a secure PayPal server which will normally display a padlock logo at the bottom of your browser. You will also see that the http has changed to https in the address bar meaning your details will be sent securely in encrypted form. Select the payment card you wish to use and enter your payment card number and other details as requested.

When you place an order through the web site, you will automatically receive confirmation by email that the order has been received and a transaction confirmation email from PayPal. We will also email you to confirm your order once it has been accepted for delivery.

Orders are subject to acceptance and normal authorisation procedures.

If you need to place an order requiring urgent delivery, please telephone us and we will try to assist you.

When ordering, you may if you prefer telephone, fax or post your order details to us. A landline contact telephone number and billing address corresponding to your card billing address must accompany your order. All orders must be prepaid prior to dispatch.

If you order by telephone, post or fax, no confirmation will be sent to you unless (i) you request one and (ii) a valid email address is provided.

Privacy Policy

We will use your personal details to fulfil our obligations to you and to guard against fraudulent transactions. We may also use them to market other products and services that we feel may be of interest.

We collect and use customer information to give a superior service, to provide convenient access to our products and services, and to modify the range of products we make available. We also use the information to keep our customers up to date on the latest product announcements and developments, special offers, and other news that we think customers would like to hear about if they have given us permission to contact them in this way. From time to time, we may also use the information to request participation in a market research survey to gauge customer satisfaction etc.

We may send newsletters and communications by email to people who have opted in to receive regular news and offers from us.

We may be required by law to disclose customer information. We may also disclose customer information if we believe that disclosure is necessary for the public interest or to prevent fraud.

We make best efforts to safeguard the security of data sent to us. We also urge our customers to take every precaution to protect their information when using the Internet.

We do not automatically collect personal information when a customer uses the Arf Kids web site. We do however automatically collect information that does not identify the individual customer personally, including but not limited to browser type, time spent on the web site, pages visited and actions taken. We use this information to improve the web site. The Arf Kids web site uses 'cookies';. Cookies are a standard way to enable certain features such as automatic login. The cookies we use do not reveal any information about our customers. Cookies help us understand which pages are more popular, where our visitors go and how long they spend there. We use cookies to study traffic to the site so we can improve it.

In emails to customers, we may use a URLs that monitor clicks. When a customer clicks one of these URLs, they may pass through our web server before reaching the destination web site. We track click-throughs to monitor interest in particular topics and to measure the effectiveness of our communications.

To help ensure customer information remains confidential we communicate these privacy guidelines to employees.

We do not solicit personal information from children or send them requests for personal information.

The Arf Kids web site may contain links to other web sites. We do not share customer information with those web sites and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Customers should examine the privacy policies of those companies and sites.

If we are going to use customer information in a different way from that stated at the time of collection, we will try to contact the customer via email to seek permission.
